Mucho Depressed!?

Ok, this Auschwitz book is severely depressing me. I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it through the rest of the class!? We have to talk about Rowanda...and more horrific things I clearly can't handle.

I hate reading and watching stuff about all that hate. It's really needed though, everyone needs to know all the evil in the world that people create. It's so sad and it seems so far away and that's theirs not much to be done :0(

Definately a sad/bad chapter in history.

I am with you! Reading books and watching movies on those subjects just hurts too much!
It is so hard to believe that humans can be so evil.
But, I agree with Jeremiah...it is so important to know what evils are around us all the time. Like Rowanda, it is so hard to belive that this sort of atrocities are still happening!!

Its awful stuff alright, but one can not pretend it doesn't exist. Just try to balance it with finding positive things in humanity too.
A quote I like:
"There is more good than evil in the world, it's just harder to find".

I recently read that book, adding it to the many I've made my way through on that subject. I am the last, and I mean literally the last, of a line of german jews who had been there since the 15th century. Auschwitz digested them. One or two escaped, and the line stops here. Terrible stuff to read, worse to imagine living through it
