**GASP** What a monster!!

I am truly in SHOCK!

Last night I watched MTV's Super Sweet 16. For those of you that have never seen this show, it is where really rich kids have EXTRAVAGANT 16th Birthday Parties documented by MTV cameras. I normally love this show and snicker at how silly and spoiled thse kids are, but last night I wanted to throw up!

Here is Sophie.

ANd here are some clips of the episode.

Be SURE to click on "A.D.D Recap: Sophie" and "The Must See Moment." My child will NEVER be this dusgusting. And these clips aren't even as bad as the episode.

PS Trent shares my opinion. lol

I read what Trent said. So, you must be right. :) I don't watch the show. Here, in New York, it seems that all parties are way over the top. I was surprised to see how my niece's party was--there was alot to it--but, thankfully, we had a good time. Upon leaving, we told the two year old, "OK, I guess you can have a sweet sixteen someday too." It is nuts these days! :) Talk to you later.

I know! These girls are AWFUL! As if my mom took me to anywhere but the outlets for a dress! (NEVER Paris!)

If you think that is bad, have you watched Hooking Up? They make these women seem awful!

I've only seen this show once (the one with the 2 girls from La Jolla) and really liked it.

Can't get your links to work though. I'll try again from another computer...

Alright, links no worky for me either and I tried to searh the site, but I need a shower, so I have to run.

I did see some pictures from some of the other episodes.

Wow. I'm always amazed at just how spoiled the spoiled can be. Way Back Wed. is tomorrow and oddly my 16th birthday pic is posted...I had no limo and I had no themed party. Woe is me...

I have no comment on the MTV show. I can't even bring myself to watch a minute of those clueless people. I was looking at your "What's on my nightstand?" section below. You have good taste in reading material.

I couldn't load the clips and I've never seen the show, but coincidentally my sister was telling me about this show just yesterday. I don't see how she can even stand to watch it. Not that I'm jealous or anything (really), but my "sweet" sixteen consisted of making homemade chinese food and having one friend from school over and watching Soul Food with her, my 11 year old sister, and my younger cousins.

Oh boy! I've seen that show and it totally reminds me of my old high school. This would be the type of people that opted for a normal party (that was somewhat like this show minus the helicopters) and the brand new BMW or Mercedes. (ehem, you can't drive till your 17 in NJ sooo these cars ended up sitting for a year).

Come to think of it there were quite a few kids that had their car imported from Japan... HS was very interesting for me.
